Reading Calendar
Your child brought home a September Reading Calendar this week. Please make sure you initial this calendar every week to let me know that your child read with you at least 20 minutes daily. At the end of the month your child will receive a treat or an incentive of some sort from Mrs. McLendon to recognize their awsome reading behavior . I do not need to see this calendar until the end of the month. the calendar should be completed and initialed by you. Please feel free to use this calendar for your own reading behavior reinforcement with your child. For example, you may want to put a sticker for every day your child reads with you and at the end of the week or month they get a reward.
Home Work
Read 15-20 minutes daily.
Talk about the book, the title, the characters, what was the book about, what does this book remind them of ( previous experiences they've had), etc. .
